Virtual Industry Day takes the headache out of finding solutions to Seekers' technology needs. It is a comprehensive platform for proactive tech scouting that helps government agencies find the technology they need, with an emphasis on finding smaller, nontraditional vendors.
The secret to Virtual Industry Day is the way it enables Tech Scouts to effectively find vendors and organize the information in a way that makes it easy for decision-makers to act on. It simplifies multiple rounds of data-gathering, standardizes the results, and makes down-selecting easier. It consolidates information on a wide range of technologies and archives research results for future reference.
Virtual Industry Day starts with Tech Seekers, representatives of DoD and other government agencies that are looking for solutions to technology needs. A Tech Seeker will be a program manager tasked with finding a new technology solution or gathering market research on an established technology. Tech Seekers provide the project requirements and work with a Tech Scout to develop a Statement of Need and survey questions for Tech Vendors to answer; recruit reviewers; downselect technologies; and make the decisions about what to do with the information. The process is in your control from start to finish.
Virtual Industry Day has a wide variety of
features to provide tech scouts, tech vendors,
tech seekers with the right functionality to get the job done.
VID can accommodate projects from an RFI with well-defined requirements to open-ended inquiries about the state of a technology. Each Project is custom-designed around the Tech Seeker's requirements and specifications. Survey questions are crafted to ensure quality submissions from Tech Vendors.
Tech Scouts are the magic that make Virtual Industry Day work. They help Tech Seekers like you turn requirements into survey questions, recruit Tech Vendors to respond to the surveys, organize the responses, and set up reviews for down-selections. Tech Scouts are experienced market researchers who bring their knowledge and connections to your project so that it is successful.
The large Tech Vendors are easy to find, but often the solution to your tech need comes from a small, nontraditional vendor who has never worked with the federal government before. Virtual Industry Day makes it easy for them to respond to market research requests so that you can see what is available from small, from all innovative companies.
Virtual Industry Day meets or exceeds all mandated information protection requirements to prevent unauthorized disclosure or modification of protected information.
